| Camera on a string; self-portrait - Kite aerial photography employs a camera suspended from a kite. The equipment I built is a radio controlled kite-flying drone with a video downlink, a digital camera, a positioning robot, a triggering mechanism, and a vibration reducing suspension. If used with a well designed and build kite the drone can be hauled up hundreds of meters above ground to shot pictures from unusual perspective. All photographs in this gallery have been taken using this technique.
